Privacy Policy
Effective 24 July 2023 ยท Last updated 25 August 2026
Yahia Lodi built the Stroke Management app as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by Yahia Lodi at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone who uses this Service.
In short: the Stroke Management app does not collect, store, or share your personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising software in the app. Everything you enter stays on your own device.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personally identifiable information. The app has no registration or login, and it does not ask for your name, address, email address, phone number, photographs, contacts, or location.
The clinical inputs you make while working through an algorithm โ such as selecting a symptom or entering a score โ are used only to compute the result shown on your screen. They are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us.
Information Stored on Your Device
To make the app usable, a small amount of data is saved in your device's own app storage. This never leaves your device, and we have no access to it. It includes:
- Preferences, such as whether you have already seen the introduction screens or dismissed the disclaimer.
- A local cache of the clinical content (articles, algorithms, and images) downloaded from our content server, so the app keeps working offline.
Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Content Delivery and Server Logs
The app downloads its clinical content from our content management server at stroke-mgmt-cms.a2hosted.com. Like virtually all web servers, that server automatically records standard technical request information, which may include the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, and the type of device or software making it.
These logs are used only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. They are not combined with any other information, are not used to build a profile of you, and are not sold or shared for advertising.
Third-Party Services
The app is built with the Expo framework and uses Expo's update service to deliver bug fixes and content improvements. When the app checks for an update, Expo's servers receive a standard technical request of the kind described above. The app is also distributed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, which apply their own privacy policies to your download and installation.
The privacy policies of these providers are available here:
The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics or crash-reporting software, and no social media tracking software.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files that websites place on your device to act as anonymous unique identifiers. The Stroke Management app does not use cookies. This privacy policy web page does not use cookies either.
Security
We value your trust. Because the app does not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to lose. Content is delivered over encrypted HTTPS connections. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
The app and this page may contain links to other sites. If you follow a third-party link, you will be taken to a site we do not operate. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any such site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site or service.
Children's Privacy
The Stroke Management app is a clinical decision-support tool intended for healthcare professionals. It does not address anyone under the age of 13, and it does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take the necessary action.
Medical Disclaimer
The Stroke Management app provides clinical reference information and is intended to support, not replace, the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page, and by updating the "Last updated" date above.
